
The Integrated Device for End-User Analysis at Low Levels Research Hub (IDEAL Research Hub) is focused on advancing industry’s ability to develop diagnostic devices with vastly improved detection capabilities that are fast, portable, affordable and adaptable.
Led by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in partnership with the University of South Australia (UniSA), the IDEAL Research Hub brings together a world-class, multi-disciplinary team of university scientists and industry partners collaborating together to create an innovative suite of integrated technologies to vastly improve the sensitivity, selectivity, speed and cost-effectiveness of detecting biological and chemical molecules at low levels.
The next generation point-of-care diagnostic and detection devices will help solve real-world problems across various industries, including public health, veterinary, agribusiness, manufacturing and environmental management.
The IDEAL Hub research team has leading expertise in biophotonics, microfluidics, molecular bioscience, device engineering and functional nanomaterials. Our industry partners, each with their specialist expertise, will help to shape the research directions, collaborate in the research activities, and drive the technology transfer.
